THE GRANARY is a pleasant, spacious first floor flat which used to be the barn attached to the original 17th Century farm cottage at West Pentire. It is situated in a small hamlet towards the end of West Pentire headland and has wonderful views of the countryside and overlooking Crantock Bay.
There is a small sheltered garden area adjoining the entrance drive, and a large car port underneath the accommodation. The front door opens on to a porch with stairs leading up to the flat, with a Stair Chair which can be used by elderly or disabled visitors by prior arrangement with the owners. The flat also has additional hand rails to help older visitors.
The fine large lounge/dining room has windows offering splendid views over the countryside and Crantock Beach. There is a colour TV and video and also a radio/tape/CD player. The hallway has a store cupboard and airing cupboard and leads to a fully tiled bathroom with toilet, handbasin, and power shower over the bath. The kitchen is fully fitted and has a fridge/freezer, electric cooker, microwave, washing machine and a dishwasher. There are two bedrooms, both with wash handbasins, one having twin beds and the other a double bed. A cot or small bed is available if required, on request.
Bed linen and towels are provided but beach towels need to be brought by visitors. The oil central heating, water heating and the electricity are all included in the rental charge.
Granary visitors are welcome at the Crantock Bay Hotel - on the other side of the village green - and may use the beautiful indoor heated swimming pool and extensive leisure facilities AT NO EXTRA CHARGE. Visitors are also welcome in the restaurant and bar.
West Pentire hamlet is exactly one mile from the village of Crantock, where one will find a general store and post office, and craft shops, as well as two pubs, an ancient and beautiful Anglican church, a Methodist chapel and thatched cottages.
Dogs are allowed on local beaches and headlands provided they are under control whilst walking on farmland where there is livestock. They are also allowed in The Granary provided that they are kept off the furniture.

If you bring a dog (maximum 2) there will be a supplementary cleaning charge of £20 per week.
INITIAL PAYMENT
Bookings will be confirmed upon receipt of a deposit of £100 per week. Cheques to be made payable to 'THE GRANARY'.
BALANCE OF PAYMENT
The balance of payment will be due four weeks before the commencement of the holiday.
ARRIVAL AND DEPARTURE
The Granary will be ready for you at any time AFTER 3.00pm Please ring if you anticipate arriving late so that arrangements can be made to welcome you and hand over the keys. Please arrange to leave the property by 1O.00am in order that it can be cleaned thoroughly between lets.
PARTY SIZE
A maximum of FOUR adults ONLY may occupy the property. However, in addition, there is a cot or small bed available for a baby for which there is no charge.
HIRER'S RESPONSIBILITIES
The hirer is responsible for the property and is expected to take all reasonable care of it. All damages and breakages are the responsibility of the hirer, although minor damage or breakages will not be charged. Please report any breakages to Reception, so that they can be replaced or rectified before the next letting.
CLEANING
The Granary is thoroughly cleaned between lettings. However, as there is only a limited period in which to clean the flat, we ask that you leave it and its contents clean and tidy.
HEATING AND ELECTRICITY
The oil fired central heating, hot water and the electricity are all included in the terms.
VISITORS WITH MOBILITY DIFFICULTIES
The accommodation is entirely on first floor level, without any internal steps other than the access staircase. This has a 'Stair Chair' fitted alongside that may be used by prior arrangement with the owners. Within the flat there are additional handrails to aid mobility; the bathroom door opens outwards to aid access to the toilet area and there is a power shower over the bath with a vertical handrail. HOWEVER the cottage is NOT suitable for a completely disabled person.
AMENITIES
The use of accommodation and amenities - such as the swimming pool and Leisure facilities at Crantock Bay Hotel - is entirely at the user's risk and no responsibility can be accepted for injury, or loss or damage to visitors' belongings.
COMPLAINTS
If the hirers are not entirely satisfied with the accommodation in any way they should immediately contact the owner so that the problem can be resolved.
